Church: Not even Cardinals are out of God’s help

Dec 11, 2012, 6:54 PM | Updated: Dec 12, 2012, 1:10 am

A Glendale church is offering a dose of football faith.

The reader board outside of the West Greenway Bible Church reads, “No one is beyond God’s help, not even the Cardinals. Luke 18:27.”

Pastor John Correia said the verse says that, with God, all things are possible. He put the verse up after hearing fans and players alike were giving up on the season.

“It just prompted me to say, ‘No, it’s just the opposite. There’s always hope, there’s always help available.'”

As far as what fans should pray for, Correia said don’t ask for wins, ask for peace in the locker room.

“It’s pretty obvious that there’s going to be some staff changes and some changes on the roster in the off-season and those people are going to be looking for jobs and, whatnot and guess what? We need to pray for those folks too.”

We want to hear from you.
