PHOENIX — Peoria police are looking for the suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Officers were called to the area of 78th Drive and Sweetwater Avenue around 4 a.m. after receiving a call from a person who reported hearing gunshots and seeing a man lying in the street.

The man was found by police with multiple gunshot wounds and taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Police said the suspect’s car is believed to be a White SUV that was pulling a gray passenger car on a trailer.

The suspect was traveling a few feet behind the victim’s car when both went out of sight of surveillance video, police said.

Police believe the incident to be isolated.

Those with information are asked to call the Peoria Police Department at (623) 773-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.

The investigation is ongoing and no additional information was provided.
