The Weekly DownLloyd: Bananas, burritos and more!

Jan 10, 2014, 5:00 PM | Updated: 5:00 pm

As the producer of Mac & Gaydos this is my own unique, weird, wacky and, at times, warped look at the weeks seven biggest stories.

This week I’m nursing a bit of a cold so I hauled over Carter Nacke, he’s a Web Content Editor here at KTAR.

CES is a great event. I’ve wanted to go for years but a guy can only hit up Vegas so many times in a year. Driver-less cars, 4K TV’s, wearable technology, I love all the new stuff.

There’s some things at CES though that are a bit more bizarre. I’m all for the wearable technology, but not for your dog! If you need or want to know how active your pooch was in a given day you’ve got too much free time on your hands.

Wonder what Macaulay Culkin’s been up to since he filmed My Girl and Home Alone? Wonder no more! He’s performing in a band that sings about pizza (sigh). I tried to make it the whole way through the music video for whatever the heck this song was but I lasted about 35 seconds. Wow, just wow.

Ever have a hankering for a burrito but you don’t want to drive to a restaurant? I’ve got great news for you, now L.A. has its first ever burrito vending machine. It’s called Burritobox and while there’s only one now I think there should be one on every block! Who doesn’t love a good breakfast burrito? This lovely vending gizmo can whip one up in a few minutes flat plus you get a song while your tasty treat is being prepared.
