That Real Estate Show gives you the latest with expert guests

That Real Estate Show hosted a full house Sunday with Realtor and radio host Diane Brennan at the helm. TRES welcomed a revolving door of guests offering expert knowledge on buying and selling homes, as well as market trends in the Valley.

First up on That Market Report, Michael Orr, the Director of the Real Estate Center at W.P. Carey School of Business, offered a promising outlook for sellers looking to unload their homes sooner rather than later. Michael says it’s mostly a sellers’ market in the Valley right now, adding that the overall average for homes on the market is about 87 days, down from an average of 95 days last month.

On the commercial front, Mike Sunnucks of the Phoenix Business Journal says the Valley’s east side is bustling with activity, especially in Scottsdale, Tempe and Chandler. Mike says office construction is in high gear in these areas with a lot of development coming from the private sector. And if you’re looking for office space to rent, the East Valley is a pretty good place to find some space. Mike also says office rents in this area are relatively modest compared with the rest of the country. He says there are a lot of vacancies in some older buildings that are just ripe for renovation.

Iraq War veteran Gus Montez also joined the program to share his experience working with That Real Estate Show’s Unsung Heroes program, which offers deep discounts to help first responders buy or sell a home. Through the program, Gus was able to make his first home purchase in the San Tan Valley, fulfilling a dream he envisioned while serving in Iraq — and all in time for his upcoming wedding in November. Learn more about the Unsung Heroes Program.

Show guests also included Tina Tamboer of the Cromford Report with a market update and Your Money Girl, Kim Harland of Nova Home Loans. Kim discussed the popular Maricopa County Home in 5 Advantage Program. Find out if you qualify for free money to buy a home.

Join Diane Brennan for That Real Estate Show every Sunday at 8 a.m. on KTAR News 92.3.
