They will share their work, field questions and discuss music’s role in social and global issues. Those attending the session on Thursday, April 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., will get to write lyrics and share them in small groups.

The event will be hosted by Westminster College in Mesa and organized by English professor Mark Young. While it’s geared toward high school and college students, the workshop is open to anyone.

Find more details here.

The songwriters include: Mat Weddle, known professionally as Obadiah Parker; John Stewart from Snake Eyes; Rod DiGiovanni; and Lindsay Young.

We want to hear from you.
