BALTIMORE (AP) – Baltimore police say they received a false report about a suspicious person at Under Armour headquarters.
Police spokesman Det. Brandon Echevarria said that authorities received a call about a suspicious person on Sunday afternoon, but after searching the building they believe it was a false call.
Echevarria says the SWAT team evacuated employees who were inside the building Sunday. Officers cleared the building and didn’t find anything suspicious. He says no one was hurt.
Echevarria says: “When people make these false calls it’s very serious because of the power it takes to investigate it.”
Under Armour’s corporate headquarters is based in a warehouse-style building in south Baltimore along the Inner Harbor.
Under Armour made its name in making body-clinging “compression” clothing.
