Peek-a-boo with Kamoli! Thanks to Sherry C. for sharing this video!

Posted by Columbus Zoo and Aquarium on Friday, August 28, 2015

Peek-a-boo is a popular game to play with baby humans, but who knew it was popular with baby gorillas as well?

During a recent visit to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, 2-year-old Isaiah met his peek-a-boo rival in Kamoli, the venue’s young gorilla.

Isaiah’s mother, Sherry, told the Columbus Dispatch her son got Kamoli’s attention by pounding his chest and imitating a gorilla. After Kamoli took note, he and Isaiah played through the glass for about five minutes.

The video shows Isaiah and Kamoli running back and forth. The young gorilla uses a post in the middle of the enclosure to keep the young boy guessing which way he’s going to go.

We’d write more about this wild, impromptu play date, but it’s just too darn adorable. Watch it for yourself above.
