Main Street Minute: Black Chamber of Arizona recruits new leader

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. Stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• The Black Chamber of Arizona has a new leader, Robin S. Reed. Reed, who previously served as president and CEO of Occam Sustainability Partners, will assume the same role for the nonprofit chamber.

• Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center is expanding in Mesa. The vision-care company is adding a newly renovated 6,000-square-foot clinic near Hawes and Baseline roads. Barnet Dulaney Perkins has two other East Valley locations.

• Plaza Companies just broke ground on a building on Banner Estrella’s Medical Campus near 91st Avenue and Thomas Road. The $16 million facility is scheduled to open in December.
