TV dispute over, Maine governor back at his desk

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) – With a dispute over a television outside his office settled, Maine’s governor has returned to his State House office to conduct business.
Gov. Paul LePage was back at his desk Wednesday, nearly a week after he vacated it following a disagreement over whether the television should be allowed in the hall outside his office. Legislative leaders had said the TV violated rules of State House decorum.
LePage had threatened to move out of the State House for good.
Now, the TV has been move inside the governor’s office, though it’s visible from the hallway.
The TV carries messages giving the governor’s views on various political issues. On Wednesday, one message was “no new taxes.”
