What began with six locations in 1997 for Tempe-based Cartel Coffee Lab is becoming a national brand.
According to Mouth By Southwest, an Arizona food and drink blog, the coffee company is expected to offer a subscriber service that offers weekly, biweekly or monthly deliveries of premium-quality whole-bean coffees.
“Cartel has become a brand with national recognition. Our extended family of homebrewers across state lines have been wanting this for quite some time,” Director of coffee production Paul Haworth told Mouth by Southwest.
Cartel Coffee Lab is expected to start its first delivery in early 2017. In an effort to gear up for the high demand, the company began beefing up its website to make online shopping easier.
“We figured out early on that there are coffee drinkers all over the country that love what we are doing. How we source, roast and brew coffee resonates with out fans,” Haworth added.
