PHOENIX — Most of America is not ready to talk about the 2020 presidential election, but one person who may be considering a run would certainly change the meaning of rock the vote.

Actor and former pro wrestling superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson told Vanity Fair this week that he may be considering a run at the presidency in four years.

“I wouldn’t rule it out,” Johnson, 44, told Vanity Fair with a big smile after speaking at a press conference to promote his latest film Moana in Los Angeles on Sunday. “It would be a great opportunity to help people, so it’s possible. This past election shows that anything can happen.”

Johnson was clearly referencing the recent election of Donald Trump, a man who had not held a political office prior to running for president.

But this week’s interview was not the first time Johnson has hinted at making the jump from Hollywood to Washington, D.C.

In March, he retweeted a person who urged him to run and added a coy response.

He also retweeted an article from the Independent Journal Review spelling out why Johnson could make a run.

He also discussed the idea in June after the Washington Post ran an editorial on why he could run for office and win.

Johnson has already dabbled in the political arena as well. He gave a speech at the 2000 National Republican Convention, where he urged young Americans to vote.

The idea of an entertainer making the jump into politics is not a new one to American voters. Former President Ronald Reagan was an actor before taking over as governor of California, as was former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Other celebrities — such as Clint Eastwood, Jesse Ventura and Al Franken — also had a political career.

Trump himself starred in several TV shows and appeared in movies prior to his run.

We only have one question for you, America: Can you smell what the president is cooking?
