Tempe Mayor Corey Woods describes speaking with police chief

Tempe has shut off its Flock Safety cameras, and it won't replace them with another license plate reader system.

Mayor Corey Woods said he spoke with Police Chief Kenneth McCoy before the city cut ties with the surveillance technology company.

"Before any decisions were made, I did pick up the phone and call Chief McCoy," Woods said, explaining that they discussed concerns raised by residents and City Council members.
