President Trump signs executive order to rename Lake Ontario
Lake Ontario is now "Lake America" on U.S. maps — at least according to President Donald Trump's latest executive order.
Trump signed the order Thursday, officially updating the name used by the U.S. geographic naming system. Canada, however, is not required to adopt the new name.
The move echoes Trump's decision last year to rename the Gulf of Mexico the "Gulf of America" and comes amid escalating trade tensions between the United States and Canada.
