PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Administration is holding its monthly Cash and Carry event, where it sells surplus goods from the state and lost items recovered by the Transportation Security Administration.

According to Megan Rose, a spokeswoman with the Arizona Department of Administration, the Cash and Carry event will be held at the Surplus Property Management Office, near 15th Avenue and Jackson Street in Phoenix.

It will start at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. on Friday, she added.

Rose said the items that are up for sale this month include Dell and HP laptops, jewelry, toys, power tools, furniture, kitchen supplies and more. And all of the items are sold at a fair market value, she said.

However, if you cannot make it to this month’s event, Rose said the same sale happens on the first Friday of every month, same time and same place.

The Cash and Carry event is the result of a partnership between the state and TSA. The partnership has been in place for the last 15 years and all of the proceeds from the sale go to Arizona’s general fund.
