PHOENIX — Miniature brick-building is typically thought of as a childish thing, but grown-ups have the chance to join the fun with a holiday-themed adult night at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Arizona this Friday.

Those ages 18 and older are invited to the center located at Baseline Road and the Interstate 10 for a variety of festive challenges, featuring a scavenger hunt for LEGO minifigures and unlimited access to all amusement park rides.

The night will last from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $23.99 and can be purchased online. Space is limited, so guests planning to attend are encouraged to buy their tickets as soon as possible.

In addition to the hunt and ride access, guests can also expect an ugly sweater contest (if they’re so inclined), a speed building contest of a gingerbread man and a hot cocoa challenge. The one with the ugliest sweater will win a prize.

For those not looking to scratch their competitive itch, there will also be opportunities to build a nutcracker and LEGO ornaments for the Discovery Center’s holiday trees.

Those in attendance are encouraged to stay the full three hours, as various prizes will be given away throughout the night.

The LEGOLAND Discovery Center staff, known as the Creative Crew, will not only keep the holiday spirits high but have memories to share from March, as they set the world record for most LEGO racecars raced in three minutes.
