Arizona Lego fans can vie to be 2025 Global Mini Master Model Builder

PHOENIX — Arizona kids have the chance to become among the top Lego builders in the world.

Now through March 2 at the Legoland Discovery Center Arizona at Arizona Mills Mall in Tempe, entrants can build whatever they imagine — using Lego bricks of course — to compete for the top spot at the Mini Master Model Builder competition. Kids can build their creations at home, and then need to bring their build to the Discovery Center.

Each winner will move on and be asked to create another original build to be displayed at the Lego House in Billund, Denmark, to vie for the title as the first-ever Global Mini Master Model Builder.

Eight-year-old Tobias Camen of Phoenix took home the title of Arizona’s 2024 Mini Master Model Builder when he built a robotic dragon to win the judges over.

The competition is part of the Creativity Academy, a limited-time event that also runs over the same span at the Legoland Discovery Center daily 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission starts at $22.99 per person.
