A Taiwan-based semiconductor component firm is establishing its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Glendale with plans to create dozens of new jobs.

Gudeng Precision Industrial Co. on Wednesday opened its new 12,000-square-foot production plant at 5260 W. Phelps Road in the 51 Bells Business Park. Gudeng invested more than $5 million in its new West Valley production facility, which focuses on semiconductor and aerospace component manufacturing, according to the company.

The facility marks the beginning of Gudeng’s long-term commitment to expanding its footprint in the U.S., said Bill Chiu, CEO of Gudeng Group.

“We chose Arizona because of its exceptional aerospace and semiconductor ecosystems, highly skilled workforce, and strong commitment to advanced manufacturing and innovation,” Chiu said.

In its initial phase, Gudeng will establish foundational manufacturing operations — including aircraft CNC machining and precision inspection capabilities — at the facility, which will create 30 new jobs. In future phases, Gudeng plans to expand equipment capacity and further integrate with Arizona’s broader aerospace and semiconductor supply chains, according to the company.
