Ever since 5-year-old leukemia survivor Miles Scott (Batkid) got his Make-A-Wish to save the citizens of San Francisco’s Gotham City on Friday, everyone from President Barack Obama to Alyssa Milano have praised him.
But no one could be more important to the adorable aspiring superhero than the Caped Crusader himself.
Christian Bale, who plays the Dark Knight in the three latest “Batman” films, was also touched by Miles’ story.
“Wasn’t that fantastic?” Bale told Vulture magazine. “I looked on the news and I saw this headline and thought, ‘What’s that?’ And I saw all the pictures of him running around and saving people.”
Bale added that he’s a up-to-date when it comes to social media, but praised Twitter for helping spread the message.
“How great a thing that it can create something like that!” he said. “I mean, wonderful. This little kid, oh my God — what a wonderful day for the little fella! It’s just fantastic, seeing all those people who were out there to support it.”
