Donald Trump on Jeb Bush: ‘Don’t think he would be a very good president’

LISTEN: Donald Trump

PHOENIX — When it comes time for voters to decide the next leader of the United States in 2016, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump feels one name should not be on the ballot: former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

“I don’t think he would be a very good president,” Trump told KTAR News’ Mac & Gaydos on Thursday.

Bush told Fox News on Wednesday that he was “done” talking about Trump.

“We should focus on that and not get into a food fight that only brings energy to someone who I doubt will be president and is not a constructive force for our party,” he said in the interview.

Trump appears content to keep tossing tomatoes in his competitor’s direction, saying he feels Bush is weak on several topics.

“I don’t think he’d negotiate good trade deals,” he said. “I think he’s very poor on immigration, I think he has a horrible stance on Common Core.”

The businessman has never sugar-coated his dislike for the Bush family, often taking to Twitter to criticize Jeb’s brother, former President George W. Bush.

Trump is scheduled to speak in the Valley on Saturday.
