Prop 320 would force certain schools to spend more in classrooms

Proposition 320 would require school districts to spend 60% of their operating budget on direct classroom instruction, which would be defined by the Arizona Auditor General.

Arizona State Sen. Lauren Kuby says the prop could force schools to cut any non-classroom expense like infrastructure upgrades and classified staff.

Matt Beienberg with the Goldwater Institute says the prop could increase teacher pay and cut back on unnecessary spending.
