Attorney-client privilege became a flashpoint as Peoria Unified school board leaders clashed over investigations involving two former teachers.
PUSD Governing Board President Jeff Tobey and his predecessor, Heather Rooks, had a heated exchange over the district's handling of information connected to former Centennial High School teachers Angela Burlaka and Haley Beck, who have been accused of inappropriate relationships with a student.
The debate comes as a second teenage boy filed a notice of claim accusing Beck — the sister of TikTok star Noah Beck — of grooming him and providing alcohol and marijuana.
