PHOENIX — The massive Central Station development in downtown Phoenix isn’t slated to open until next year, but there have been recent developments.

Both of the high-rise buildings in the complex, located on Van Buren Street between Central and First avenues, have been named. The east building was called The Maeve Central Station while the west building was called ANOVA Central Station, according to a press release.

The entirety of Central Station will span 1 million square feet and include luxury housing, student housing, office space, retail space and more.

“The naming of Central Station’s multifamily dwellings is the latest milestone for GMH’s Residential and Innovative Living verticals,” Gary Holloway Jr., CEO and president of GMH Communities, said in the release. “GMH is excited to bring apartment living that focuses on community, accessibility and innovation to the city of Phoenix.”

What are the buildings at Central Station?

The Maeve Central Station will be a 33-story high-rise with an elevated amenity deck, resort-style pool and a penthouse-level amenity space with panoramic views.

The Maeve will have 338 one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartment homes. A topping out ceremony for The Maeve was held in May.

ANOVA Central Station will feature student options ranging from micro studios to four-bedroom units. Co-living opportunities will be available and some residences will be furnished.

The development is slated to open in mid 2025.
