Tickets on sale for Grand Canyon Railway’s Polar Express

PHOENIX — Those who can’t wait to dive into the winter spirit can get a head start by securing a spot on the Grand Canyon Railway’s holiday-themed train adventure.
Tickets are on sale for the 21st annual Polar Express train event, which is scheduled to kick off Nov. 12 and run through Dec. 30.
Trains will run from Williams to the North Pole (near Williams) most nights at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The experience features holiday songs, a visit from Santa, a reading from “The Polar Express” children’s book, and holiday food and drink.
Prices for evening departures are $33 for kids ages 2-15 and $47 for adults on Sundays through Thursdays. Those increase to $47 for children and $59 on Fridays and Saturdays.
Christmas Eve trips start at $59 for children and $85 for adults and will include special gifts.
The Grand Canyon Railway is also offering special packages for families that include the train excursion and a one-night stay at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel.
The package price for two adults and two children ranges from $350 to $550 before taxes.
