PHOENIX — Two ramps on the southbound Interstate 17 in Phoenix are scheduled to close until late fall 2021, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The on-ramp at Thunderbird Road and off-ramp at Cactus Road are set to close Wednesday at 9 p.m. for an ongoing regional drainage project.

The southbound I-17 frontage road between Thunderbird and Cactus roads will also be closed.

An overnight closure of the southbound I-17 right lanes, including merge lanes, between Thunderbird Road and Peoria Avenue, is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday, April 29.

Drivers can detour around the closures by using alternate routes, including other nearby on- and off-ramps at Greenway Road or Peoria Avenue.
