I-17 South ramps at Thunderbird, Cactus roads to close for drainage work

PHOENIX — Two ramps on the southbound Interstate 17 in Phoenix are scheduled to close until late fall 2021, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The on-ramp at Thunderbird Road and off-ramp at Cactus Road are set to close Wednesday at 9 p.m. for an ongoing regional drainage project.
The southbound I-17 frontage road between Thunderbird and Cactus roads will also be closed.
Starting TONIGHT (9 p.m.), the I-17 SB Cactus Road off-ramp will be closed through fall 2021 (part of the Drainage Improvement Project).

An overnight closure of the southbound I-17 right lanes, including merge lanes, between Thunderbird Road and Peoria Avenue, is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday, April 29.
Drivers can detour around the closures by using alternate routes, including other nearby on- and off-ramps at Greenway Road or Peoria Avenue.
