PHOENIX – The Arizona Humane Society is waiving adoption fees for senior cats and dogs through the end of November.

As part of Adopt a Senior Pet Month, all dogs and cats over the age of 7 years old will have their fees waived in an effort to help senior pets find their forever homes.

AHS said adopting a senior pet can be beneficial because their behavior is already established, like basic manners and potty training.

The promotion was made possible by AHS volunteer Julie Stromberg, who is sponsoring adoptions for dogs, and AHS President Club members Patricia Gaynor and Michael Ivanich, who are sponsoring adoptions for cats.

Adoptions at the humane society’s Campus for Compassion location are by appointment only, which can be scheduled online.

We want to hear from you.
