PHOENIX — Three prominent Republican leaders are traveling to metro Phoenix on Tuesday to campaign on behalf of President Donald Trump as Election Day nears.
Sens. Mike Lee (Utah) and Rand Paul (Kentucky), along with U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, are scheduled to participate in the four events set for Tuesday.
Lee and Paul will host a Liberty for Trump event at 12:30 p.m. at the Graduate Hotel in Tempe. Tickets for the event are free.
Lee, Paul, Gaetz and U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona will then host a Latter-day Saints for Trump event in Gilbert at 2:30 p.m.
The free event will be held at Discovery Park.
Lee, Paul and Gaetz will next join forces with U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona for another Liberty for Trump event in Apache Junction.
That rally, which will be held at Goldfield Ghost Town, is set to start at 5 p.m.
Finally, Lee and U.S. Sen. Martha McSally of Arizona will meet with the Chandler GOP at 7 p.m. at Tri City Baptist Church.
The events are the continuation of a busy month for Republicans leading up to Election Day in Arizona, which is widely considered a battleground state.
Trump has visited Arizona six times during the election cycle and will make it seven when he hosts two events Wednesday.
The president has been trailing Biden in recent polling.
The Republican defeated Hillary Clinton in Arizona by 3.5 percentage points in 2016.
