2 found dead after fire at home in Maricopa

Two people were found dead after a fire broke out at a home in Maricopa on Saturday, authorities said.

The Maricopa Fire and Medical Department was called to a residential structure fire near Porter and Honeycutt roads around 11:30 a.m.

Fire crews found two people dead inside the house. Officials said the fire was extinguished.

An arson investigator and the Maricopa Police Department were at the scene investigating the cause of the fatal blaze.
