PHOENIX – Popular pizza chain Lou Malnati’s has reopened its Phoenix-area dining rooms and announced plans to expand to the West Valley.
The Chicago-based pizzeria said the new location at 75th Avenue and Rose Garden Lane in Glendale would be ready for customers in late spring. It will offer carryout and drop-off catering services only and be the chain’s fourth restaurant in the Valley.
Two of the sites offer full service – one in central Phoenix and the other in Scottsdale. Another in east Phoenix offers takeout only.
Arizona restaurants resumed dine-in service Monday for the first time since an executive order limited them to takeout or curbside service in late March.
“When you’re ready, we’re here to serve you,” Lou Malnati’s said in a press release Wednesday.
Lou Malnati’s said it has taken measures to keep customers and staff safe, among them: applying social distancing norms, keeping parties to a maximum of 10, performing health checks on employees and single-use paper menus.
The safety precautions include how it will conduct hiring for the new Glendale site. Applicants for the 40 or so jobs for cashiers, dishwashers, driver, kitchen crew and phone staff will be interviewed via video chat.
Prospective employees can apply online.
