Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway reopens after crashes in West Valley

The southbound lanes were closed for several hours after three early-morning collisions between Bell and Thunderbird roads.

The southbound Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway reopened in the West Valley after multiple crashes Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Traffic was forced to exit at Bell Road in Glendale for several hours, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, southbound Loop 101 was closed after three separate collisions from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. between Bell and Thunderbird roads, none of which resulted in injuries.

The closure was lifted about 8 a.m.

The northbound lanes were not affected.
