PHOENIX — A picnic celebrating all things Canadian is returning to the Valley for the 68th year.
The Annual Great Canadian Picnic will take place at the South Mountain Park Activity Complex on Feb. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Planned activities include traditional Canadian things such as snow games, a display from the Arizona Coyotes hockey team and poutine.
The picnic will have a whole host of activities, though.
A classic car display, face painting, calf roping, moose bean bag toss and live music will also highlight the event.
The Arizona Diamondbacks are bringing their street team as well for those who love baseball.
More than 125,000 Canadians live in the Valley and about a million are expected to visit this year, according to a press release.
The event is open to the public and is free.
Proceeds from the picnic will support exchanges between Arizona and Canadian cities that focus on youth and education, the release said.
