PHOENIX — The eastbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway off-ramp at McQueen Road will be closing for two months.
The Chandler off-ramp is scheduled to close Thursday at 11:30 p.m. and is set to open in mid-August, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Details on freeway construction closure
Drivers should use eastbound Loop 202 on-ramps at Arizona Avenue or Cooper Road.
Additionally, the eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Arizona Avenue is scheduled to reopen at the end of July.
The closures are part of a $200 million Loop 202 Improvement Project.
This project was funded in part by Proposition 400, a dedicated half-cent sales tax that Maricopa County voters approved in 2004.
The renovation of the freeway is being done to relieve traffic congestion due to the Valley’s growing population.
