PHOENIX — Repaving work will begin Monday on a section of a major Chandler road that has been closed for emergency sewer repairs with one lane in both directions open.
Both directions of traffic on Chandler Boulevard between Arizona Avenue and Hamilton Street were closed Feb. 19 for work on the sewage system at the intersection of Delaware Street and Chandler Boulevard, according to the city.
In addition to the pavement work, a westbound right lane on Chandler Boulevard and southbound lane on Delaware Street will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to the sewer repair.
Drivers were advised to use Pecos or Ray roads to avoid the closure. It was also recommended that motorists use Arizona Avenue to access downtown Chandler.
More information on this closure and road construction projects in the city can be found online.
