PHOENIX — International cream puff chain Beard Papa’s is coming to the Grand Canyon State, opening a bakery in Scottsdale on Saturday, according to a press release.
The Scottsdale iteration of Beard Papa’s is located inside Scottsdale Quarter, near the intersection of Scottsdale Road and Butherus Drive.
The bakery will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Patrons will soon be able to order any of Beard Papa’s eight cream puff shells, with eclair flavors ranging from OREO cookie to green tea.
The bakery will also have seasonal flavors and traditional Japanese staples on hand at their Scottsdale location, to go with a full assortment of cheesecakes, chocolate fondant and blended drinks.
Tucker Kaufman, marketing representative for the bakery chain, said the store’s offerings will add a truly unique option to the local dessert scene in Scottsdale.
“The cream puffs are far from your traditional frozen puff found in the freezer aisle,” Kaufman said in the release.
The chain, which was founded in Osaka, Japan, in 1999, has more 400 locations spread out across 15 countries.
