PHOENIX — Authorities canceled a SAFE Alert a day after issuing it for 77‑year‑old Teresa Estrada, who went missing in Phoenix.

She was found in a nearby city, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Estrada, who has a medical condition that can cause confusion, was last seen Wednesday afternoon near 67th Avenue and Thomas Road.

She is now home safe with her family, police said.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
