Boy killed, girl injured in single-vehicle rollover crash in Apache Junction

PHOENIX – A boy was killed and a girl was injured in a rollover crash Wednesday morning in Apache Junction, authorities said.

The single-vehicle collision occurred in a desert area off Hackamore Road and State Route 88 around 4:30 a.m., according to the Apache Junction Police Department.

Police said the vehicle had two juvenile occupants but did not provide their age.

The boy, who police believe was driving, was found dead at the scene. The girl was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

The cause of the deadly rollover crash is under investigation. No other details were made available.
