Goodwill to open 2 Valley locations next month

PHOENIX — Bargain shoppers will be excited to hear that next month Goodwill will be opening two new stores around the Valley.
The first location will open in Glendale on Jan. 3, near 75th and Glendale avenues with the second location opening on Jan. 10 in Phoenix near Central Avenue and Bell Road. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony on opening day at each of the new stores at 8:45 a.m.
“We’re excited to kick off the new year with new stores throughout the Valley,” Senior Vice President, GCNA Chief Retail Officer Adam Lewis said in press release. “We encourage the community to come out, enjoy free coffee and pastries, and help us celebrate!”
Goodwill stores grand opening details
The first 150 people to lineup will get a $5 gift card to use at that particular location. For anyone that brings a bagful of donations, during the grand opening weekend, they will get a coupon for $5 off a purchase.
Both locations are considered part of the Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) branch, which was founded in 1947.
Profits from Goodwill stores support the nonprofit’s mission services including career development, training and community education initiatives across the state, according to a press release.
Goodwill is known for being a popular thrift store that sells secondhand clothing and items.
