Teenager in custody after deadly shooting at West Valley home
One teenager is dead and another is in custody after a shooting Thursday night in Avondale.

PHOENIX – One teenager is dead and another is in custody after a shooting Thursday night in Avondale, authorities said.
The victim and suspect were acquainted, according to the Avondale Police Department.
The deadly shooting occurred around 11:15 p.m. at a home near Central Avenue and Elm Lane, in the vicinity of Litchfield and Lower Buckeye roads.
An 18-year-old man whose name has not been released died of an apparent gunshot wound after being taken to a hospital.
Authorities said a 16-year-old boy was taken into custody in connection with the shooting.
No other details were immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
