A 2-year-old girl was hospitalized after being pulled out of a backyard pool in Glendale on Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A 2-year-old girl was hospitalized after being pulled out of a backyard pool in Glendale on Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
According to the Glendale Police Department, officers and the Glendale Fire Department responded to a call near 67th Avenue and West Bethany Home Road just before 2:40 p.m.
Police said the whereabouts of the girl were unknown to the mother for around 10 minutes when she found her in the pool.
Life-saving efforts were made by residents at the home and first responders. The girl was taken to a hospital where she is in critical condition, according to ABC15.
