PHOENIX — Used vehicle dealer CarMax recently celebrated the opening of a new reconditioning and auction center in El Mirage, according to a Friday press release.
The West Valley facility covers more than 56 acres and its reconditioning and auction centers are a combined 80,000-plus square feet, which is located along Olive Avenue in between Litchfield and Dysart roads.
The new facility had a grand opening on Sept. 11 and currently employs 150 people, with the capacity to hire up to 250.
El Mirage Mayor Alexis Hermosillo said the recent CarMax investment “reflects confidence in our city’s infrastructure, workforce and future.”
“This new facility brings incredible career opportunities and strengthens El Mirage’s role as a regional hub for logistics and innovation,” Hermosillo said in the release. “Having a nationally recognized brand like CarMax in our industrial corridor sends a clear message—El Mirage is open for business.”
