Crash between bus, pickup leaves one dead

PHOENIX — A major crash between a red pickup truck and a city bus left one dead in central Phoenix on Monday.

The driver of the pickup truck, an unidentified female, drove her vehicle into the back of the bus. According to Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump,she was originally listed as seriously injured at the scene of the accident, but was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

The accident also injured three aboard the city bus, but all are expected to make a quick recovery.
