Brewer introduces Arizona education report card program
Gov. Jan Brewer's office has rolled out a new online tool to help parents get the latest information on education progress in Arizona.
Gov. Jan Brewer’s office has rolled out a new online tool to help parents get the latest information on education progress in Arizona.
Brewer’s spokesman, Matthew Benson, said the Arizona Ready Education Card tracks how Arizona students are doing from prekindergarten all the way past college.
“Anybody — whether a student, parent, educator, or other — can go online and see how Arizona schools are performing and whether that performance has improved or not over the last number of years,” he said.
Benson said the site also has information on how our students are scoring on tests and other useful statistics.
“Categories on how our schools and our students are scoring on tests, their preparedness for college, even information on the quality of Arizona’s workforce for the jobs of the future,” he said.
Benson said the site was developed after parents voiced their concern that they didn’t have enough information on education trends in the state.
