The Arizona Attorney General’s office is warning citizens to beware of a scam in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision on Obamacare.
“As soon as the U.S. Supreme Court approved Obamacare, the people started calling, pretending to be from the government, saying that Obamacare, or the Affordable Care Act, requires consumers to report personal information to them,” said Tom Horne, Arizona Attorney General.
Horne said the scammers ask for Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers and other personal data in an attempt to steal money from people.
Horne said, so far, no one has been vicitmized but advised people to report scammers.
