Mesa library offers job help, marketing skills

East Valley job seekers or those interested in learning how to start a business can turn to a new job-help hub in Mesa.

The Red Mountain Library, near Power Road and University Drive, has set up a hub with laptops available for anyone who wants to search for jobs, work on their resumes and learn marketing skills.

“Anyone from the community can come in,” said Larry Lee with the library. “We’re targeting adult patrons. They can come in, work as far as getting registered with the state and a job-search database. They can work on their office skills using Word, Publisher, Excel.”

The job hub will also offer classes on how to start a business and the use of social media.

“And they can also search for grants for themselves to help get their business going,” Lee said.

Laptops are first come, first served.
