Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers announces plans for Carefree location

Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers is expanding to Carefree and is expected to break ground in 2027 as part of the Craig’s Crossing retail development.

Craig’s Crossing will sit on the northeast corner of Carefree Highway and Cave Creek Road, with Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers as one of its first tenants.

The project is a planned 120,000-square-foot development with a grocery store and other retail. The new burger joint will be about 5,525 square feet and its opening date will be announced in 2027.

“We are very excited to be part of the new Craig’s Crossing development,” Barrett Rinzler, the CEO and founder of Square One Concepts, which is the restaurant group behind Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, said in a statement. “We have been eyeing this exact location for many years and are happy that SimonCRE was finally able to put together a deal for the development.

“This will mark our third deal with SimonCRE, and we have had tremendous success with them to date and hope that this will be another prosperous location for us. We have been looking forward to serving the Carefree and Cave Creek areas for some time now and are happy that it will finally come to fruition.”

The burger joint’s other locations with SimonCRE are at Villlage at Prasada in Surprise and a forthcoming location at Medina Station in Mesa.
