Phoenix-area drivers are catching a break this weekend, with only one construction project on the freeway to-do list.
Overnight paving work will narrow part of State Route 347 between Maricopa and Chandler, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation’s weekend freeway travel advisory.
Overnight lane restrictions scheduled for SR 347
The lone item in ADOT’s weekend advisory could slow late-night trips between the city of Maricopa and the rest of the Valley.
Northbound SR 347 will be squeezed down to one lane between Maricopa and Casa Blanca Road from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday and again from 8 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday for a pavement improvement project.
Southbound traffic isn’t affected, so drivers heading home to Maricopa should cruise along as usual.
