Northbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway reopens near Tempe-Scottsdale border after crash

Northbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway reopened near the Tempe-Scottsdale border on Wednesday night after a short closure, authorities said.

The closure was caused by a crash near McKellips Road, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Prior to the northbound lanes shutting down, the traffic authority said there a vehicle fire in the area.

The southbound side of the freeway was not affected by the closure.
