Loop 101 ramps closed for investigation into shooting in Scottsdale area

Local police and the FBI are investigating a shooting Friday morning on the Loop 101 Pima Freeway in the Scottsdale area, authorities said.

One person was shot near northbound Loop 101 and Chaparral Road about 1:40 a.m., according to the Salt River Police Department.

Authorities did not release any information about the victim’s condition.

The northbound Loop 101 on-ramp from Indian School Road and off-ramp to Chaparral Road are closed for the investigation.

There was no estimate for when the restrictions would be lifted.
