4-year-old boy dies a month after being pulled from Phoenix apartment pool

A 4-year-old boy who was pulled from an apartment complex pool in Phoenix last month has died, authorities confirmed Monday.

The boy, who officials originally identified as being 3, was pulled from a pool at a complex near Seventh Street and Camelback Road in extremely critical condition on June 19.

The Maricopa County Medical Examiner ruled the boy’s cause of death to be complications from a drowning, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Police said that no arrests were made in connection with the drowning and no charges are being submitted.

They added that the case has been closed.
