SAFE Alert canceled for 32-year-old man who went missing in Tempe

Authorities canceled a SAFE Alert on Tuesday, a day after issuing it for a missing 32‑year‑old man last seen in Tempe.

PHOENIX — Authorities canceled a SAFE Alert on Tuesday, a day after issuing it for a missing 32‑year‑old man last seen in Tempe.

The alert, sent out Monday, stated that Dylan Kirby had last been seen on foot near Priest Drive and Baseline Road around 4:30 a.m.

Kirby was later found safe by the Phoenix Police Department.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
