Three weeks before Election Day, former President Barack Obama endorsed Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs’ reelection bid on Tuesday.

“Katie Hobbs is the best choice to keep Arizona moving forward. So, join me in supporting Katie for governor,” Obama said of his fellow Democrat in a video released by the Hobbs campaign.

The former president also endorsed Hobbs during her 2022 campaign. In the new video, he touted her record of working with a Republican-led Legislature to lower costs.

“Katie knows how to bring people together to get things done. She’s passed bipartisan tax cuts every single year she’s been in office to help veterans, seniors, small businesses and families make ends meet,” he said.

Hobbs said in a news release that she feels “deeply honored” to have Obama’s support.

“He embodies leadership driven by integrity, unity and a commitment to putting people first,” she said. “Those are values I share, and the kind of leadership I’ve sought to deliver as governor, bridging political divides to cut taxes, lower housing costs and invest in public safety for a stronger, more affordable Arizona.”

Andy Biggs responds after Barack Obama endorses Katie Hobbs

Hobbs’ Republican opponent in the Nov. 3 general election, U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs, is endorsed by President Donald Trump.

Trump will be in Arizona on Wednesday to promote the state’s Republican candidates during a midterm rally in Bullhead City.

Biggs responded to Obama’s endorsement of his opponent by accusing the former president of “lying” about Hobbs’ record.

“Barack Obama lying about Katie Hobbs’s record on rising utility costs and border security is the perfect reminder for Arizonans of how liberal Hobbs is and the elitists supporting her campaign,” Biggs said in a news release from his campaign.

Biggs also noted that he and running mate Sine Kerr have endorsements from figures who, unlike Obama, won statewide races in Arizona.

“Andy Biggs and Sine Kerr will happily take the support of Arizona leaders like Govs. Jan Brewer and Doug Ducey, who fought to secure our border, keep Arizonans safe, lower taxes and actually won our state multiple times instead of a liberal who was repeatedly rejected by Arizonans,” Biggs said.

Obama and Bush make Trump look like a...
bumbling businessman with a history of bankruptcies--
an incompetent leader of a country--
a major flip-flopper--
in other words, non-presidential.

Is Hobbs the best and brightest Arizona has to offer? No. But at least she never helped a sore loser try to illegally retain the presidency he lost by the will of the voters.
